Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Dimensional Variation Analysis for Rigid Part Assembly With an Improvement of Monte Carlo Simulation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Dimensional variation has significant effect on the quality of product. Recently, Monte Carlo (MC) simulation is widely used in dimensional variation analysis, with high accuracy and adaptability, but there is the problem of low computational efficiency.

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...

Infrared Small Target Detection via Non-Convex Tensor Rank Surrogate Joint Local Contrast Energy

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
Small target detection is a crucial technique that restricts the performance of many infrared imaging systems. In this paper, a novel detection model of infrared small target via non-convex tensor rank surrogate joint local contrast energy (NTRS) is ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Design of a New N-Shape Composite Ultra-Thin Deployable Boom in the Post-Buckling Range Using Response Surface Method and Optimization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Composite ultra-thin boom can be folded elastically. Moreover, such booms are able to self-deploy by releasing stored strain energy, which can be applied in deployable antenna, solar sail, and optical telescopes.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
