A Computational Strategy for Identifying Self‐Assembling Food‐Derived Molecules for Antiparasitic Nanotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated computational screening strategy identified ursolic acid (UA) and 18β‐glycyrrhetinic acid (18βGA) as a self‐assembling food‐derived molecular pair. The resulting carrier‐free nanoparticles (UA‐18βGA) showed synergistic antiparasitic activity, reduced combined toxicity, and host‐protective anti‐inflammatory effects in zebrafish and murine ...

ANXA2‐mediated Phagocytosis Generates AR+ Macrophages to Confer Enzalutamide Resistance in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel resistance mechanism is mediated through phagocytosis of cancer cells by AR+ TAMs. This process, dependent on ANXA2, enables macrophages to acquire AR protein from engulfed tumor cells. The internalized AR translocates into the macrophage nucleus, where it binds directly to the IL‐6 promoter, augmenting IL‐6 transcription and secretion ...

How accurate are individual forecasters? : an assessment of the Survey of Professional Forecasters

open access: yes, 2012
This master thesis addresses the forecast accuracy of individual inflation forecasts from the Survey of Professional Forecasters. Based on a variety of accuracy statistics, there are five main findings to report of. First, I find that some individuals are able to accurately predict inflation over time, and that forecasters on average have improved ...

Real-time Nowcasting Growth-at-Risk using the Survey of Professional Forecasters [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper investigates nowcasting Growth-at-Risk (GaR) using consensus forecasts from the Survey of Professional Forecasters (SPF) in the US. Incorporating SPF consensus forecasts into the conditional mean of an AR-GARCH type model significantly enhances nowcasting accuracy for GaR and the conditional density of GDP growth.

The Livingston Survey: still useful after all these years [PDF]

open access: yes
The decisions of households, firms, and government agencies depend on forecasts of the overall economy. Large firms and the federal government often have the resources to hire their own economists to provide forecasts.

Tumor‐Infiltrating mregDCs Restrain Anti‐Tumor Immunity in Early Relapse HCC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐infiltrating mregDCs are regulated by the TNFR2‐non‐canonical NF‐κB axis, which is mediated by TNF‐α secreted by CD161+CD8+ T cells. These mregDCs recruit CD161+CD8+ T cells via the CCL20‐CCR6 axis, forming a positive feedback loop that enhances immunosuppression, promotes early recurrence of HCC, and further confirms TNFR2 as a key therapeutic ...

Internal consistency of survey respondents’ forecasts: evidence based on the Survey of Professional Forecasters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We ask whether the different types of forecasts made by individual survey respondents are mutually consistent, using the SPF survey data. We compare the point forecasts and central tendencies of probability distributions matched by individual respondent, and compare the forecast probabilities of declines in output with the probabilities implied by the ...

Protein Structuromics Reveals a Loop‐Controlled Half‐Open Active Pocket Conformation Throughout Fe(II)/α‐ketoglutarate‐Dependent Dioxygenase Catalytic Cycle

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a conserved half‐open active pocket in Fe(II)/α‐ketoglutarate‐dependent dioxygenases through protein structuromics, distinguished by structural features comprising highly flexible loop elements. Enhanced sampling simulations‐guided mutagenesis experiments elucidated how this flexible loop regulates pocket open/closed conformations ...
