Sexual function of women surviving cervical cancer
Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics, 2015The objective of this study was to evaluate the sexual function of survivors of cervical cancer (CC) in comparison to the control group of women without a history of cancer. This was an observational, analytical, case-control study. In the cancer group, women subjected to CC treatment of at least 3 months in the past were included (n = 37).

Motoneurone survival: a functional approach.
Trends in neurosciences, 1997The role of the target in the survival of developing motoneurones is discussed. The contribution of neurotrophic factors is re-evaluated in view of the following: (1) motoneurone numbers are affected only slightly in transgenic mice following deletions of genes coding for neurotrophins or their receptors; and (2) continued treatment with neurotrophins ...

Variance estimation of a survival function for interval‐censored survival data
Statistics in Medicine, 2001AbstractInterval‐censored survival data often occur in medical studies, especially in clinical trials. In this case, many authors have considered estimation of a survival function. There is, however, relatively little discussion on estimating the variance of estimated survival functions. For right‐censored data, a special case of interval‐censored data,

Dynamic Inference on Survival Functions
1987The inference of survival functions based on information from censored observations is considered. The hazard function is assumed to be piecewise constant along intervals. The parameters are updated via a Bayesian conjugate analysis and information is passed through intervals via dynamic relations of the parameters.

Cox proportional-hazard regression has been essentially the automatic choice of analysis tool for modeling survival data in medical studies. However, the Cox model has several intrinsic features that may cause problems for the analyst or an interpreter of the data. These include the necessity of assuming proportional hazards and the very noisy estimate
