Reflection of P-Wave and Sv-Wave in a Generalized Two Temperature Thermoelastic Half-Space
In this work the theory of two temperature generalized thermoelasticity has been used to investigate the problem of reflection of P-wave and SV-wave in a half space when the surface is i) thermally insulated or ii) isothermal.

ABSTRACT Objective To determine whether integration of serum neurofilament light chain (NfL) and cortical dysfunction improves diagnostic accuracy in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) when applied alongside the Gold Coast criteria (GCC). Methods In this prospective study, 148 participants with suspected ALS were recruited (101 ALS and 47 with ALS ...

Kinetics‐Controlled Architecture of Binder‐Free Organic Electrodes for Enhanced Ion Transport
Pulse reverse electrodeposition controls nucleation and growth to create hierarchically porous Py‐derived oligomeric electrodes with enhanced ionic accessibility and reduced transport resistance. The resulting binder‐free architectures translate these transport advantages into practical sodium‐storage functionality.

Ballistic thermal transport in asymmetric Y-branch three terminal junction
The thermal transport properties of Y-branch three terminal junction are studied by using the scattering-matrix method for in-plane waves. The mode conversion has been considered for two transmitted components (P wave and SV wave).

This work reveals the UV‐curing‐induced monomer‐rich domain, oligomer‐rich domain, and entangled oligomer domain. The cured submicron films in stressed state induce interlayer nano‐wrinkle structures during the deposition of the second layer. Stress‐free cured films in relaxed state form non‐diffusive, diffusive and semi‐diffusive interlayer ...

Ultra‐Thin Tow‐Based Discontinuous Composites—Material Overview and Aspirations
Tow‐based discontinuous composites made from ultra‐thin tapes offer outstanding in‐plane mechanical properties. This material, inspired by Nacre, has high volume fraction of tapes exceeding 90 % and allows for quasi‐isotropic material plates less than 100 micrometer in thickness.

Field Tests for Generating Source System and Picking the Seismic Shear Waves to Meet the Engineering Purposes Requirements. [PDF]
Many seismic field tests were carried for the designed and modified seismic apparatuses using to generate seismic shear waves. These apparatus includes: "wooden plank" horizontal traction shear wave source, and a modified geophone for picking the SH-Wave
