Enhancing Identifiable Variational Autoencoder in the Presence of Missing Values and Auxiliary Covariates for Spatio‐Temporal Ozone Modeling

open access: yesEnvironmetrics, Volume 37, Issue 6, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The formation of ground‐level ozone follows complex nonlinear photochemical processes that depend on multiple environmental factors and have strong spatio‐temporal structures. Environmental data used to study these dynamics usually originate from multiple sources, including in situ monitoring stations and satellite observations.

Inter‐Material Transfer Learning for Accelerated Nanofluid Heat Transfer Prediction: A Machine Learning Approach for Energy Systems

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 9, Page 4316-4332, September 2026.
This study presents an inter‐material transfer learning framework for nanofluid heat transfer prediction in energy systems. By leveraging knowledge from Al2O3‐water data, the model accurately predicts hybrid Al2O3‐TiO2 nanofluid performance with only 20 simulations, achieving R2 = 0.985 and reducing computational requirements by 78. Point and Risk estImation Using an enSemble of Models for Nowcasting: PRISM‐Now

open access: yesJournal of Forecasting, Volume 45, Issue 6, Page 2760-2784, September 2026.
ABSTRACT We propose PRISM‐Now, a novel ensemble forecasting system for near‐term GDP projection. Recognizing that relevant economic information evolves over time, we treat forecasts from multiple base models as draws from a mixture distribution of “good” and “bad” estimates, whose composition changes continuously and cannot be identified ex ante.
