Therapeutic Gases in Biomedicine: Updates on Nitric Oxide and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Therapeutic gases, including NO, CO, H2S, H2, CO2, O2, and Xe, play vital roles in cellular signaling and repair. This review highlights the emerging carriers and delivery systems that enable controlled, localized gas release for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

Reproductive Management of Dairy Cows with Particular Reference to Organic Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Reproductive efficiency is a major factor affecting production and economic efficiency indairy herds. In seasonally calving herds the requirement of good reproductive performance is of greater importance than in other production systems in order to ...

The Enhanced Whey Protein Oral Bioavailability and Muscle Anabolism Ability by a Simple and Effective Piperine‐Whey Protein Synergistic Codelivery System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
WP(Pip) is a mixture of whey protein and piperine‐loaded nanoemulsion stabilized by WP through microfluidic homogenization. Acting as a “smart key,” piperine opens epithelial tight junctions to enhance absorption of whey protein and, thereby increasing circulating amino acid availability, synergistically up‐regulates the mTOR signaling pathway in ...

Semiconducting Polymer Nanoparticles Enable Light‐Controlled Bidirectional Modulation of Nitric Oxide in Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bimodal modulation of nitric oxide in endothelial cells is achieved by light‐sensitive polymer nanoparticles. In dark, P3HT/PEDOT:PSS NPs boost intracellular ·NO, upregulate both endothelial and induced nitric oxide synthase, and drive a metabolic shift toward glycolysis.

Conservation monitoring of three management treatments for public understanding of meadow management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper the declining habitat of flower-rich grassland on neutral soil (MG5a) is used as an example to show how non-classical ecological experiments set in a real-life situations can provide answers to practical questions and thus contribute ...

Chloris gayana Kunth under different defoliation regimes. Morphogenesis, sward structure and leaf area index

open access: yesGrass and Forage Science, 2019
AbstractSubtropical pastures are an important alternative to increase forage yields to fulfil cattle nutritional requirements. Despite the increasing expansion of these pastures in the semiarid subtropical region of Argentina, there is very little information about their responses to grazing management.

Liver‐Targeted Gallium‐Polyphenol Network by Disrupting the ROS/NETs/PANoptosis Axis for Precision Acute Liver Injury Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Acute liver injury (ALI), driven by diverse insults such as drug toxicity and ischemia‐reperfusion, poses a high mortality risk and lacks targeted therapies. While reactive oxygen species (ROS), neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), and a coordinated cell death pathway PANoptosis have been implicated, their interplay as a unified pathogenic ...
