Cliff Notching Due To Swash Abrasion: Insights From Physical Experiments
Notch development at the base of sea cliffs is an important control on cliff recession rates, but a detailed mechanistic understanding of notch formation by swash abrasion is lacking.

Swash flow poses a significant hazard to pedestrians standing on the slope of the seawall. Unlike the forces of overtopping flow or open channel flow on the human body, which have been studied before, swash flow has two distinct cycles within one wave ...

Splatshop: Efficiently Editing Large Gaussian Splat Models
Abstract We present Splatshop, a highly optimized toolbox for interactive editing (selection, deletion, painting, transformation, …) of 3D Gaussian Splatting models. Utilizing a comprehensive collection of heuristic approaches, we carefully balance between exact and fast rendering to enable precise editing without sacrificing real‐time performance. Our

Fine organic particles in a sandy beach system (Puck Bay, Baltic Sea)
A total of over 550 samples of particulate organic matter (POM) were obtained from swash and groundwater samples taken on a monthly basis from seven localities on the sandy shores of Puck Bay in 2002 and 2003.

Swashplate control system [PDF]
A mechanical system to control the position of a rotating swashplate is developed. This system provides independent lateral cyclic, longitudinal cyclic and collective pitch control of a helicopter rotor attached to the swashplate, without use of a mixer ...

Image‐Based Spatio‐Temporal Interpolation for Split Rendering
Abstract Low‐powered devices – such as small form factor head‐mounted displays (HMDs) – struggle to deliver a smooth and high‐quality viewing experience, due to their limited power and rendering capabilities. Cloud rendering attempts to solve the quality issue, but leads to prohibitive latency and bandwidth requirements, hindering use with HMDs over ...

Influence of Evaporation and High‐Frequency Seawater Inundation on Salinity Dynamics in Swash Zones
The interactions between the atmosphere, ocean, and beach in the swash zone are dynamic, influencing water flux and solute exchange across the land‐sea interface.

Research on the Pressure Ratio Characteristics of a Swash Plate-Rotating Hydraulic Transformer
This paper presents a theoretical model and its experimental validation for the pressure ratio of a swash plate-rotating hydraulic transformer. The structure and principle of the new type of transformer are described.

PSHead: 3D Head Reconstruction from a Single Image with Diffusion Prior and Self‐Enhancement
We introduce PSHead, a coarse‐to‐fine framework guided by both object and face priors, to produce a Gaussian‐based 3D avatar for a single frontal‐view reference image. In the coarse stage, we create an initial 3D representation by applying diffusion models trained for general object generation, using Score Distillation Sampling losses over novel views.
