MODELLING WAVE TRANSFORMATION ACROSS A FRINGING REEF USING SWASH [PDF]
This paper presents the application of the open source non-hydrostatic wave-flow model SWASH to wave propagation over a fringing reef, and the results are discussed and compared with observations obtained from a laboratory experiment subjected to various incident wave conditions.

STRAND: A Model for Longshore Sediment Transport in the Swash Zone [PDF]
In this paper we report on the development and performance of an engineering model, STRAND which has the aim of predicting longshore movement of coarse sediment above the still water line of steep beaches.

Research on the Pressure Ratio Characteristics of a Swash Plate-Rotating Hydraulic Transformer
This paper presents a theoretical model and its experimental validation for the pressure ratio of a swash plate-rotating hydraulic transformer. The structure and principle of the new type of transformer are described.

Based on Dynamics and Hydraulic System Coupling Simulation of Swash Plate Axial Piston Pump
As one of the most important friction pairs in the swash plate axial piston pump, the piston pair plays an important role in the mechanical efficiency, temperature rise, volumetric efficiency, working life and work reliability of the piston pump.

An impedance approach to reduce the contact-instability whilst drilling with active heave compensation [PDF]
The bit-bounce, or contact-instability, phenomenon which occurs in the drill string suspended from a floating vessel with an active drill string compensator to maintain a steady weight on the drill bit is investigated.

Vertical structure of near-bed cross-shore flow velocities in the swash zone of a dissipative beach [PDF]
Cross-shore velocity profiles are measured at 0.001m vertical resolution and at 100Hz over the lower 0.02-0.07m of the water column in the mid swash zone on a dissipative, macrotidal beach.
