Luminescence dating of coastal deposits from the Chanthaburi Plain, Thailand

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
The ongoing global sea‐level rise urges us to better understand the dynamics of coastal processes for predicting future changes. Sedimentary deposits reflect past coastal environments but require precise chronological data to place evidence into a temporal context.

NePO: Neural Point Octrees for Large‐Scale Novel View Synthesis

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We introduce Neural Point Octrees (NePOs), a scalable radiance field representation that organises point clouds hierarchically for efficient optimisation and rendering of large scale scenes. NePOs enable level of detail selection, joint refinement of appearance and camera poses, and real‐time rendering of hundreds of millions of points.

Vertical distribution of meiofauna on reflective sandy beaches

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Oceanography, 2015
Extreme physical conditions usually limit the meiofauna occurrence and distribution in highly hydrodynamic environments such as reflective beaches. Despite sediment grains of the upper layers being constantly resuspended and deposited, the high energy of

Contravariant Boussinesq equations for the simulation of wave transformation, breaking and run-up [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We propose an integral form of the fully non-linear Boussinesq equations in contravariant formulation, in which Christoffel symbols are avoided, in order to simulate wave transformation phenomena, wave breaking and near shore currents in computational

Multi‐Spectral Gaussian Splatting with Neural Color Representation

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) [KKLD23] has transformed novel‐view synthesis from RGB images, yet remains restricted to the visible spectrum. Many applications, including agricultural monitoring, rely on multi‐spectral imaging, where spectral camera alignment and scalability pose major challenges.

Fine organic particles in a sandy beach system (Puck Bay, Baltic Sea)

open access: yesOceanologia, 2005
A total of over 550 samples of particulate organic matter (POM) were obtained from swash and groundwater samples taken on a monthly basis from seven localities on the sandy shores of Puck Bay in 2002 and 2003.

Grain size distribution and characterization of sedimentary processes of Cox's Bazar Beach, Bangladesh: Implications for understanding coastal morphodynamics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Sediment Research
This study aims to investigate the factors influencing modern beach development along the southeastern Bengal Basin coast by analyzing the grain size and heavy mineral (HM) distribution in sediment.

KARAKTERISTIK HABITAT DAN KELIMPAHAN UNDUR-UNDUR LAUT (HIPPOIDEA) DI PANTAI PURWOREJO

open access: yesJFMR-Journal of Fisheries and Marine Research, 2018

Variable‐Rate Texture Compression: Real‐Time Rendering with JPEG

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Although variable‐rate compressed image formats such as JPEG are widely used to efficiently encode images, they have not found their way into real‐time rendering due to special requirements such as random access to individual texels. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of variable‐rate texture compression on modern GPUs using the ...

Mass and momentum transfer by solitary internal waves in a shelf zone [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 2012
The evolution of large amplitude internal waves propagating towards the shore and more specifically the run up phase over the "swash" zone is considered.
