The first flowers to open are terminal (distal) on leafless shoots. Flowers on leafy shoots are generally open about I week later. Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1960Abstract From the peel of the sweet orange, Citrus sinensis , the flavanone glycosides naringin and isosakuranetin 7-rhamnoglucoside have been isolated in small quantity and purified by column chromatography, using Magnesol as adsorbent. Hesperidin, the major flavanone glycoside present, was prepared in chromatographically pure form.
