Neuro-Sweet syndrome

Clinical and Experimental Dermatology
Neuro-Sweet syndrome is rare and presents as an acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis accompanied by neurological symptoms. We describe a patient with neuro-Sweet syndrome whose diagnosis was confirmed via skin biopsy. Treatment with steroids achieved clinical resolution of the patient’s symptoms and signs.

Sweet's syndrome represents the epitome of the neutrophilic dermatosis, a group of reactive cutaneous diseases characterized histopathologically by the existence of an infiltrate composed by neutrophils. Clinically, it is characterized by the abrupt onset of tender or painful plaques accompanied by fever, general malaise, and neutrophilic leukocytosis.
