Saving the European eel : how morphological research can help in effective conservation management
The European eel (Anguilla anguilla) is a critically endangered species, whose recruitment stocks have declined to nearly 1% compared to the late 70s. An amalgam of factors is responsible for this, among them migration barriers, pollution, habitat loss ...

A thermo‐responsive poly(2‐oxazoline)‐based injectable formulation is developed to modulate intraocular pressure (IOP) in both normal and hypotonic eyes. By adjusting the PEG content, the aggregation behavior is finely tuned, enabling IOP elevation without long‐term deposition.

Correlation of Post Swim-Up Acrosome Index with in-vitro Fertilization Outcomes
A prospective study was planned to determine the relationship between post swim-up acrosome index (AI) evaluation and fertilization outcomes in an in vitro fertilization (IVF) program.Infertile couples who have applied to IVF were admitted into this study when the male partner's sperm concentration was > 20 x 10(6)/mL and motility > 30%.

We developed a fully human 3D tonsil cell culture system incorporating supportive stromal cells that better sustains and activates immune cells than conventional methods. The model generates stronger, more targeted antibody responses to viral antigens and vaccines, providing a physiologically relevant and entirely human platform for studying immune ...

Accumulation of motile elongated micro-organisms in turbulence
We study the effect of turbulence on marine life by performing numerical simulations of motile microorganisms, modelled as prolate spheroids, in isotropic homogeneous turbulence.

Evaluation of the semen swim-up method for bovine sperm RNA extraction
Isolation of high-quality RNA is important for assessing sperm gene expression, and semen purification methods may affect the integrity of the isolated RNA. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the sperm swim-up method for seminal RNA isolation. Frozen semen samples in straws from three bulls of proven fertility were purified by the swim-up method.
