Switched-Capacitor Circuits

2006
In this chapter, some trade-offs to be faced by an SC circuit designer are proposed. SC technique gained a large popularity in the past and it seems to be mature to be able to give excellent response for the future requirements of mixed-signal systems. However, the actual trends towards scaled-down technology, low-voltage and/or high-frequency systems ...

Switched capacitor techniques

1996
In Chapter 4 we discussed the overall decisions that must be made in designing a practical VLSI neural network. Technology, area, power, speed, memory, I/O, packaging, noise and testability all need to be considered. Two of the implementations presented there (Section 4.2.3, Section 4.2.7 and Section 4.2.8) are analysed in this case study.

Switched Capacitor Filters

2012
This chapter deals completely with switched-capacitor filters. The basic concept of SC-based resistor is introduced together with applications to realize stray-insensitive first-order SC filters, SC delay elements, and amplifiers. The technique for analyzing two-phase SC networks using Laker’s z-domain equivalent circuits is presented.

Switched-Capacitor Networks

1997
This chapter presents a method that makes it possible to analyse switched-capacitor networks in discrete time using compacted nodal analysis in continuous time. Our objective is to perform time-discrete analysis in the z-domain using any symbolic analysis tool (e.g. CASCA [26]) intended for analysis of time-continuous networks in the s -domain.
