COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Dynamic SDN Controller Association Mechanism Based on Flow Characteristics

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In software-defined networking with the distributed control plane, the switches are associated with controllers using only the number of the flow requests as the basis of resource allocation, ignoring the characteristics of flow.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Modeling style rotation: switching and re-switching [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the dynamics and statistics of style rotation based on the Barberis-Shleifer model of style switching. Investors in stocks regard the forecasting of style-relative performance, especially style rotation, as ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

On the Ergodic Channel Capacity for Indoor Visible Light Communication Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Since indoor visible light communication (VLC) modulates the information into the light beams emitted from light-emitting diodes, the channel gain is often modeled as the Lambertian model.

To Switch or Not to Switch: Code-switching in a Multilingual Country

open access: yesProcedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, 2015
AbstractThis paper presents a theoretical review of several aspects concerning the linguistic phenomenon of code-switching. The review includes some terms which stand at the basis of communication; code-switching; its existence as a bilingual and multilingual phenomenon; the multilingual reality in Israel, and lastly, code-switching in the FL classroom.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
