Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Direct Position Determination of Non-Circular Sources Based on a Doppler-Extended Aperture With a Moving Coprime Array

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Direct position determination (DPD) is a new promising technique in wireless location. Compared with conventional two-step localization methods, DPD achieves a higher accuracy by directly estimating the source location without computing the intermediate ...

Spin-Orbit Torques in ferrimagnetic GdFeCo Alloys

open access: yes, 2016
The spin-orbit torque switching of ferrimagnetic Gd$_x$(Fe$_{90}$Co$_{10}$)$_{100-x}$ films was studied for both transition metal (TM)-rich and rare earth (RE)-rich configurations.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Specific Emitter Identification Based on Deep Residual Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Specific emitter identification (SEI) enables the discrimination of individual radio emitters with the external features carried by the received waveforms. This identification technique has been widely adopted in military and civil applications. However,

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Semantic IoT Service Communication—Impedance Matching Between Service Goal and Event Routing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks
In IoT (Internet of Things) applications, there are many kinds of event flows. Without converging these flows based on their semantics, it is difficult to establish ultrascale-connected IoT service systems.

Illumination-Adapted Transceiver Design for Quadrichromatic Light-Emitting Diode Based Visible Light Communication

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
With the development of lighting industry and visible light communication (VLC) technology, multicolor light-emitting diode (LED) has been advised to replace phosphor-converted LED because of its higher modulation bandwidth and better lighting quality ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
