Dual-switching behavior of nonlocal interfaces

Physical Review A, 2017
Nonlinear interfaces separating two diffusive Kerr-type media exhibit dual switching between total internal reflection and transmission. This property is found within a weakly nonlocal regime when both a nonparaxial treatment of the problem and a full two-dimensional model for carrier diffusion are assumed.

Relationship marketing and consumer switching behavior

Journal of Business Research, 2005
Abstract The authors attempt to explain the relationships among relational bonds, customer value, and customer loyalty in three different consumer groups (stayers, dissatisfied switchers, and satisfied switchers) in the retail banking industry. Data were obtained from a sample of 613 Taiwanese bank customers. The findings are threefold.

Switching behavior of stressed Vicalloy wire

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1979
In recent years there has been considerable interest[1] in wire produced by subjecting cold-drawn Vicalloy to a schedule of stretching and twisting first developed by J. Wiegand[2]. Magnetization reversal in this wire occurs by a single giant Barkhausen jump, leading to a number of sensor-based applications.

Magnetization switching behavior with microwave assistance

Applied Physics Letters, 2008
Microwave assisted switching of magnetization has become one of the key techniques for future advanced recording. We have studied the magnetization switching behaviors excited by circularly and linearly polarized microwaves based on the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation.

Age-dependent switched taste behavior to ribose

Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Chemical detection is vital for animal survival, aiding in avoiding toxins and selecting nutritious foods. While Drosophila larvae exhibit appetitive feeding behavior toward ribose, an important sugar for RNA, nucleotide, and nucleoside synthesis, how adult Drosophila perceives ribose remains unclear.

Predicting Household Switching Behavior and Switching Costs at Depository Institutions

Review of Industrial Organization, 2002
This paper uses new survey data to investigate the covariates of self-reported switching costs and switching behavior by deposit account holders. Factors affecting geographic mobility appear to be most important in explaining the duration of deposit relationships.

Switching and Dielectric Behavior of Phase

Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals, 2011
Switching and dielectric properties of a compound (S)-(+)-4-(1-methylheptyl) 4-[4-(3-hexanoyloxy prop-1-oxy) benzoyloxy]biphenylate are studied by means of polarization reversal methods and dielectric spectroscopy respectively. Two characteristics polarization peaks have been observed on application of triangular pulse in the phase.

Switching Action Behavior Model in Crowd Behavior Simulator

2018
The switching action behavior model is proposed for the CBS-DE to describe a person who has to change his/her destination due to the space capacity limitation of the designated evacuation area. The change in the destination of a person is determined according to the motion of other persons in the perception domain during the defined switching action ...
