Exact results for nonlinear ac-transport through a resonant level model [PDF]
We obtain exact results for the transport through a resonant level model (noninteracting Anderson impurity model) for rectangular voltage bias as a function of time.

Regeneration in planarians modifies behavioral switching
The planarian Dugesia japonica responds differently to localized stimuli: anterior regions turn, middle regions elongate, and posterior regions contract. If cut into several pieces, each piece immediately produces the same three responses. Over several days, each piece regenerates all transected body parts.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Prey preference of Eupeodes corollae (Dip.: Syrphidae) on different nymphal instars of Brevicoryne brassicae (Hem.: Aphididae) [PDF]
The prey stage preferences of the second and third instar larvae of syrphid fly species Eupeodes corollae (Fabricius) on different nymphal instars of Brevicoryne brassicae (L.) were studied in no-choice and choice conditions (25 ± 2°C, 65 ± 5% R.H ...

Stochastic switching in infinite dimensions with applications to random parabolic PDEs [PDF]
We consider parabolic PDEs with randomly switching boundary conditions. In order to analyze these random PDEs, we consider more general stochastic hybrid systems and prove convergence to, and properties of, a stationary distribution.

Epigenetic switch turns on genetic behavioral variations [PDF]
What roles do environmental factors, genes, and heredity play in shaping the behaviors of individuals? In his 1963 article entitled “Behavior genetics and individuality understood,” the pioneering behavioral geneticist Jerry Hirsch (1) eloquently articulated that “Individual differences are no accident.

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Examining the impact of religiosity and environmental concern on switching behavior of Islamic digital-only bank users [PDF]
In light of the fast expansion of digital banking, it is of the utmost importance to know the causes driving the acceptance of Islamic digital-only banks, particularly in Indonesia, which has a considerable Muslim population.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Switching Flow-Graph nonlinear modeling technique [PDF]
A unified graphical modeling technique, “Switching Flow-Graph” is developed to study the nonlinear dynamic behavior of pulse-width-modulated (PWM) switching converters. Switching converters are variable structure systems with linear subsystems.
