β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2025.
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...

Evaluation of DC-link voltage ripple in five-phase PWM voltage source inverters

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This paper presents the analysis of the DC-link voltage switching ripple in five-phase PWM voltage source inverters with balanced load. The analysis is particularly important for the design and selection of a DC-link capacitor making it possible to meet ...

Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

Comprehensive comparison and analysis of non-inverting buck boost and conventional buck boost converters

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The non-inverting buck boost (NIBB) converter has attracted significant attention in recent years, as it shares ground between input and output, and the voltage stress of switches is lower.

Nano-LED driven phase change evolution of layered chalcogenides for Raman spectroscopy investigations

open access: yes, 2022
We present a device driving testing platform based on vertically integrated nano light emitting diodes (nano- LEDs). The nano-LEDs with a peak wavelength emission centered at ~ 445 nm were arranged in arrays and conditioned using a laser-micro-annealing ...

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

PLL controller for achieving zero-voltage switching (ZVS) in inductorless half-bridge drive piezoelectric transformer resonant power supplies

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Inductorless half-bridge, piezoelectric transformer (PT) resonant power supplies require careful control if zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of the MOSFETs is to be achieved.

High-CMRR stray-insensitive switched-capacitor differential input stage for A/D convertors

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1986
A new stray-insensitive switched-capacitor differential input circuit for A/D convertors is presented. This circuit, which uses only switches and capacitors, completely rejects common-mode signals regardless of the values of the design capacitors and the stray capacitances.

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.
