Analysis of buck/boost zero-current-switching resonant DC/DC convertor

IEE Proceedings B Electric Power Applications, 1989
A large signal steady-state analysis is presented for a buck/boost zero-current-switching resonant DC/DC power convertor. The basic equations governing convertor operation are derived. The following performance parameters are determined for lossless operation: current and voltage waveforms, peak currents and voltages of the switch and rectifier diode ...

Modeling the switch of PWM convertors (comments, with reply, on 'Simplified analysis of PWM converters using models of PWM switch' by V. Vorperian)

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1992
The switch model of pulsewidth modulation (PWM) converters proposed by V. Vorperian (ibid., vol.26, p.490-496, 497-505, May 1990) is critically examined. The commenter suggests that the omission of the inductor from the model has led to errors in the modeling of discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) converters.

Switching mode power convertor with phase locked oscillator as a driver for an ultrasonic atomizer

1985 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1985
An advanced switching mode power convertor for driving an ultrasonic atomizer transducer is presented. The unique characteristics of the ultrasonic atomizer/transducer are presented to show the key requirements for the developed circuit. The unique elements of the power circuit are; (1) The tuned LC power network and, (2) The drive oscillator locked to

Steady-state analysis and performance of a saturable reactor assisted soft-switching DC-DC convertor

IEE Proceedings B Electric Power Applications, 1992
A computer-aided steady-state analysis is presented for a saturable reactor assisted soft-switching DC-DC convertor. The convertor achieves efficient soft-switching without limitation for both load current and output voltage. The current and voltage waveforms, and performance characteristics are illustrated and discussed.

Analysis and design of buck/boost zero-voltage-switching resonant DC/DC convertor

IEE Proceedings G Circuits, Devices and Systems, 1989
A steady-state analysis is presented for a buck/boost zero-voltage-switching resonant DC/DC power convertor. The current and voltage waveforms are derived using differential equations. Conditions for lossless operation are determined. Design equations are given for the DC transfer function, on-switch duty cycle, DC input resistance, maximum switching ...
