High frequency switching regulator techniques
1978 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1978The design and performance of non-resonant switching regulators operating at frequencies above 300kHz are discussed. The circuit arrangements and performance characteristics for a 150W, 600kHz inverter, a 25W, 300kHz multi-output quasisquarewave converter, a 2W, 600kHz buck-boost converter, and a 200W, 300kHz boost converter are presented.

Switched capacitor PLL frequency synthesizer
Proceedings of the Sixteenth National Radio Science Conference. NRSC'99 (IEEE Cat. No.99EX249), 2003A technique for high resolution frequency synthesizer is introduced and analyzed. This technique is based on a duty cycle controlled oscillator circuit used as a fractional frequency divider placed in the feedback path of a phase locked loop. A design example is given with experimental results.

Nonadiabatic population inversion by laser frequency switching
Physics Letters A, 1978Abstract Efficient nonadiabatic population inversion in two-level systems is predicted by theory in the case where a pulsed laser driving field of width ∼10 GHz through the resonance line with a rise time ∼65 ps.

Low-frequency switching in a transistor amplifier
Physical Review E, 2003It is known from extensive work with the diode resonator that the nonlinear properties of a P-N junction can lead to period doubling, chaos, and other complicated behaviors in a driven circuit. There has been very little work on what happens when more than one P-N junction is present.
