Investigation on Switching Energy Losses in Reversely Switched Dynistor
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2014This paper presents theoretical and experimental results on the energy loss characteristics of reversely switched dynistor (RSD) under high-current conditions. Theoretical analysis was performed based on a 1-D modified model by taking account into the carrier-carrier scattering effect and auger recombination effect during the conducting process.

Loss of Gas7 Is a Key Metastatic Switch in Neuroblastoma
Cancer Research, 2021Abstract Metastatic spread to distant tissues and organs is responsible for most cancer-related mortalities. Changes in the invasiveness ability of metastatic tumor cells often come with significantly altered gene expression profiles compared with primary tumor cells. Identifying the main actors involved in the metastatic switch of tumor

Determination of switching losses in IGBTs by loss-summation-method
IAS '95. Conference Record of the 1995 IEEE Industry Applications Conference Thirtieth IAS Annual Meeting, 2002The exact determination of switching losses in power transistors is still an important problem. This paper treats investigations on switching losses in insulated gate bipolar transistors and assigned freewheeling diodes at hard switching commutation. Especially, a new technique, the loss summation method, is presented.

Optimization of switching losses and EMI in a Cuk converter
Proceedings of International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems for Industrial Growth, 2002Switching mode power supplies are significant sources of electromagnetic disturbances, especially conducted EMI, due to the high current and voltage derivatives caused by the high frequencies used today in order to reduce the size of electromagnetic and capacitive elements.

Cell loss performance of the Gauss ATM switch
[Proceedings] IEEE INFOCOM '92: The Conference on Computer Communications, 1992The authors present a performance study of the Gauss asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switch with respect to cell loss. The Gauss switch is a recently proposed, high-performance, output buffered ATM switch that can easily be implemented. In general, if an ATM switch suffers from cell loss, the exact behavior of this cell loss as a function of ...

On Loss Mechanisms of Complex Switched Capacitor Converters
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers, 2015In this paper the power losses of efficient capacitive converters with multitude transfer ratio values are discussed. The loss mechanism circuits, based on general transposed series parallel (GTSP) topology, is studied and the losses are calculated, which in turn enables the “bottlenecks” to be identified and overcome.

Multilevel Inverter Topology for Switching Loss Reduction
IECON 2018 - 44th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2018In motor drive application, a high switching frequency is required in order to mitigate current harmonics which cause a copper loss. However, the high switching frequency makes the switching loss large. Hence, some switching loss reduction techniques have been studied before. However, they requires complicated circuits. This paper proposes a multilevel

A turn-on switching losses study in a ZCT soft-switching converter
Proceedings of The 7th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference, 2012This paper presents a mathematical approach of calculating the turn-on switching losses in a ZCT soft-switching converter. In theory, the ZCT scheme enables all main switches and auxiliary switches to be turned on and off under zero-current conditions.

Understanding switching losses in SiC MOSFET: Toward lossless switching
2015 IEEE 3rd Workshop on Wide Bandgap Power Devices and Applications (WiPDA), 2015Due to the limitation in circuit measurements using current and voltage probes, the conventional ways of measuring switching losses lack the physical insight of the complicated witching process in power devices such as the SiC power MOSFET. This paper seeks to have a better understanding of the dynamic turn-on and turn-off processes of the SiC power ...

PESC `92 Record. 23rd Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2003
A low-loss soft-switching CSI topology, consisting of two parallel switches with a midpoint connected capacitor, is proposed. The structure accomplishes zero voltage switching during turn-off without any additional snubber circuit. It is well suited for high power applications requiring the use of two parallel switches. An analysis and design procedure
