Novel Variants in KMT2C Further Support a Neurodevelopmental Disorder Distinct From Kleefstra and Kabuki Syndromes

Sedlackova et al. describe detailed phenotypes of three patients with novel variants in the KMT2C gene. After detailed phenotypic analysis, we found that our patients have phenotypes very similar to those previously described as KMT2C‐related Kleefstra syndrome 2, and thus further extend the list of KMT2C causal variants.

The Intertwined Development of Atayal Oral Language, Emergent Reading and Identity Among Indigenous Young Children in a Bilingual Book Project

This study highlights a collaborative initiative with Atayal tribal leaders to co‐develop books at two levels of difficulty that feature recurring and supportive grammatical structures. Learning the Manchu Writing System: The Role of Intra‐Symbol Processing in Orthography Acquisition

Manchu is a critically endangered language in China with fewer than 100 native users remaining. As the first empirical study on Manchu orthography acquisition, we focused on novice learners (n = 196) and examined visual complexity and symbol‐sound mapping complexity of Manchu symbol blocks.
