Ethical Precision in Nanoscale Brain Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As brain interfaces approach the nanoscale, precision no longer only measures—it knows, predicts, and potentially reshapes the mind. This work argues that traditional ethics fails under such conditions and proposes a shift toward continuous, operation‐based governance using the recovery–discovery framework to track, constrain, and responsibly steer ...

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Schooling Trajectories and the Development of Brain Dynamics: A Comparative Study of Montessori and Traditional Education

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We investigate whether Montessori and traditional schooling systems shape the developmental trajectory of large‐scale brain dynamics in different ways. We quantify the arrow of time (“non‐reversibility”) in neural activity during resting state and movie‐watching, revealing distinct maturational patterns.

Nazi Space and Emigration Space in Lion Feuchtwanger's Exile

open access: yes, 2012
Анализируются закономерности функционирования художественного пространства в романе Л. Фейхтвангера «Изгнание». Рассматриваются две представленных в романе модели пространства - пространство наци и пространство эмиграции, которые выстраиваются из ...

Flexible Unusual Ternary‐Component Graded‐Modulus Dielectric Films with High‐Density Capacitive Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hierarchical PP–LSR107–BaTiO3 nanocomposite films are fabricated by one‐step extrusion and stretching for roll‐to‐roll manufacture, combining high energy storage and processing flexibility. LSR107 surrounds BaTiO3‐rich regions, locating amorphous PP, decreasing defects, and introducing deep traps that homogenize the electric field and suppress charge ...

Cultural perspectives on the meaning of corporate social responsibility in a third sector organisation

open access: yes
How can Corporate Social Responsibility best be understood, what is its range of application and what insights can culture provide when considering the responsibilities of a third sector organisation?

Symbolic Quest into Homoclinic Chaos

open access: yes, 2014
We explore the multifractal, self-similar organization of heteroclinic and homoclinic bifurcations of saddle singularities in the parameter space of the Shimizu–Morioka model that exhibits the Lorenz chaotic attractor.

Scalable Engineering of Bio‐Manufactured Extracellular Vesicles for Selective Delivery in Ovarian Cancer Patient‐Derived Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered extracellular vesicles displaying Ephrin‐B2 selectively target Ephrin‐B4–expressing ovarian cancer cells, enabling precise delivery in patient‐derived models. This scalable bio‐manufacturing platform reveals a versatile strategy to exploit Ephrin signaling for highly specific therapeutic payload delivery and motivates exploration of tailored

Sticky Yet Slippery: Molecular Ordering Reconciles Bubble‐Surface Affinity With Ultralow Friction at the Nanoscale

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By engineering the molecular order and thickness of PDMS layers, we reconcile the stickiness and slipperiness during bubble transport. AFM measurements and MD simulations further reveal how these nanoscale architectures tune hydrophobic interaction FHB and friction force f.

Lonely viewers? Families' organization of space and the allocation of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the home

open access: yes, 2003
© 2003 by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co. KG, 10785 Berlin. All rights reserved. In this study we investigated some of the ways in which the diffusion of new ICT is related to the disposition of space within families.
