Digital Twins for the Design, Interactive Control, and Deployment of Modular, Fiber‐Reinforced Soft Continuum Arms

Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A digital twin framework is presented for modular soft continuum arms built from fiber‐reinforced pneumatic actuators. Cosserat rod models describe individual actuators, while virtual assemblies are formed through serial and parallel networks, preserving actuator‐level architecture and arm deformation.

Peroxide‐Assisted Solvate Engineering Enables Record‐High Birefringence in a Solar‐Blind Transparent Crystal

H2O2‐directed solvate engineering reorganizes ∞[4HP] (4‐hydroxypyridine) chains from a crossed arrangement into a nearly parallel packing through strengthened hydrogen‐bonding interactions. Mapping Proton‐Coupled Electron Transfer With Real Space Coordinates

We explore how proton‐coupled electron transfer (PCET) proceeds on a potential energy surface defined by two coordinates for proton and electron transfer that are obtained from quantum chemical calculations. The two‐dimensional maps for PCET show distinct characteristics for concerted proton–electron transfer and hydrogen atom transfer.
