DigiChrom: A Domain Ontology for Semantic Representation of Trivalent Chromium Platings and Its Large Language Model‐Based Alignment With Multiple Mid‐Level Ontologies

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Digitalizing electroplating requires both domain knowledge and interoperability. This work introduces PlatOn, a domain ontology for trivalent chromium plating and coating characterization, and a hybrid pipeline that aligns it to a mid‐level reference ontology by combining eight similarity metrics with language model reasoning. Expert‐validated mappings

Commemoration of the Great Patriotic War as a symbolic resource: peculiarities of functioning in the religious community

open access: yesStudia Humanitatis, 2020
The article analyses religious communities as subjects of symbolic and memory policies. The author talks about the competition for acquisition of limited symbolic resources using the example of exploitation of the Great Patriotic War commemoration by ...

Uniqueness and reconstruction theorems for pseudodifferential operators with a bandlimited Kohn-Nirenberg symbol [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Computational Mathematics, 2013
Motivated by the problem of channel estimation in wireless communications, we derive a reconstruction formula for pseudodifferential operators with a bandlimited symbol. This reconstruction formula uses the diagonal entries of the matrix of the pseudodifferential operator with respect to a Gabor system.

The Vagaries of the Superego

open access: yesElementa, 2022
Starting from the distinction between “ideal ego”, “ego-ideal” and “superego” structured from the Imaginary-Symbolic-Real triad made by Lacan, this study investigates how is possible to distinguish the a-sexual social space from the domain of libidinally-

Operando Tracking of Oxygen‐Vacancy Dynamics and Negative Capacitance in Ca‐Doped BiFeO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Operando electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, combined with electrocoloration, enables a direct correlation between real‐space ionic redistribution and the corresponding frequency‐domain electrical response. In lateral Ca‐doped BiFeO3 devices, time‐resolved impedance snapshots capture the evolution from bulk‐dominated mixed conduction to an ...

Childhood in the Face of War: Symbolism, Suffering and Hope as Exampled by the Conflict in Ukraine

open access: yesLubelski Rocznik Pedagogiczny
Introduction: The ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine significantly impacts children, positioning them both as direct victims of violence and as symbolic representations of national resistance, hope, and future reconstruction.

GROUP FOLIATION OF DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS USING MOVING FRAMES

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2015
We incorporate the new theory of equivariant moving frames for Lie pseudogroups into Vessiot’s method of group foliation of differential equations. The automorphic system is replaced by a set of reconstruction equations on the pseudogroup jets.

Similarity-based equational inference in physics

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
Automating the derivation of published results is a challenge, in part due to the informal use of mathematics by physicists compared to that of mathematicians.

A Bourdieusian Framework for Understanding Public Space Heritage Transformations: Riga’s Castle Square

open access: yesUrban Planning, 2023
The article investigates how Bourdieu’s theory of practice can be mobilized to analyse the micro landscape of decision-making in urban practice, framing it by means of the concept of habitus.
