Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

L’agro-écologie au Brésil, un instrument genré de luttes sociales

open access: yesL'Ordinaire des Amériques, 2016
From the analysis of struggles for land, for agroecology and for the recognition of productive and reproductive work of rural women, we show how agroecology is thought as a movement of gender identities construction and as a precious instrument of ...

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Structural Crises vs. Situations of (Political) Crisis: A Bourdieuan Approach

open access: yesСоциология власти
Bourdieu’s theory offers several concepts to analyze crises. In the first part of this article I study what Bourdieu calls « reproduction crises », which unfold on a long- or medium-term basis, but can provoke an endogenous political crisis, like that of

The New 'Hidden Abode': Reflections on Value and Labour in the New Economy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper engages with the works of Autonomist Marxists, such as Hardt, Negri and Arvidsson, who have argued that the so-called ‘new economy’, which is characterized by a new importance of immaterial labour, knowledge and processes of consumption, gives

Fractional Skyrmion Tubes in Chiral‐Interfaced 3D Magnetic Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In chiral 3D helical magnetic nanowires, the coupling between the geometric and magnetic chirality provides a way to create topological spin states like vortex tubes. Here, it is demonstrated how the breaking of this coupling in interfaced 3D nanowires of opposite chirality leads to even more complex topological spin states, such as fractional ...

Rational Fine‐Tuning of MOF Pore Metrics: Enhanced SO2 Capture and Sensing with Optimal Multi‐Site Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.

The Biopolitical Quest for Individuality as a Reactionary Device

open access: yesCulture e Studi del Sociale, 2020
With the advent of digitization and the affirmation of a symbolic value on social exchange within capital, public demonstrations of discontent are nowadays being performed along an aesthetic canon, thus losing their possible revolutionary potential. Once

Mercados musicais-dançantes e periferias: trajetórias individuais e de circuitos de diversão em Salvador e Maceió

open access: yesCiências Sociais Unisinos, 2017
From the trajectories of two characters – one from a musical scene – in Salvador and another from Maceió, I explore the course of differentiating their positions and, thus, I design aspects of the expansion of musical entertainment circuits in the ...

Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.
