Symmetric and generating functions of generalized (p,q)-numbers

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science, 2021
In this paper, we will firstly define a new generalization of numbers (p, q) and then derive the appropriate Binet's formula and generating functions concerning (p,q)-Fibonacci numbers, (p,q)- Lucas numbers, (p,q)-Pell numbers, (p,q)-Pell Lucas numbers, (p,q)-Jacobsthal numbers and (p,q)-Jacobsthal Lucas numbers.

Extensions and generalizations of a theorem of Widder and of the theory of symmetric local semigroups

open access: yes, 1984
The theory of symmetric local semigroups due to A. Klein and L. Landau (J. Funct. Anal.44 (1981), 121–136) is generalized to semigroups indexed by subsets of Rn for n > 1. The result implies a similar result of A. E. Nussbaum (J. Funct.

SPG4 and Dementia: Expanding the Clinical Spectrum

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and lower limb weakness, with mutations in SPG4/SPAST being the most common cause. Detailed studies and clinical and molecular comparisons across different populations are missing.

Certain fixed point results for novel contractions with applications to variational inequalities, economic growth and market equilibrium via fractional differential equations

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems
This paper presents a new approach to analyze the market equilibrium and economic growth via enriched ( S ˚ , θ , Z ) $(\mathring{\mathscr{S}}, \theta , \mathscr{Z})$ -contractions and their generalizations.

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

Symmetric functionals on simply generated symmetric spaces

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications
In the present paper we suggest a construction of symmetric functionals on a large class of symmetric spaces over a semifinite von Neumann algebra. This approach establishes a bijection between the symmetric functionals on symmetric spaces and shift-invariant functionals on the space of bounded sequences.

White Matter Hyperintensity Burden and Short‐Interval Change Associated With Sleep Apnoea in the UK Biobank

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are a core neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Sleep apnoea (SA) is a recognized vascular risk factor, but its associations with regional WMH burden, short‐interval WMH change and cognitive performance in population‐based cohorts remain incompletely defined.
