K-theory and matrix transfers [PDF]
We introduce and study matrix transfers to achieve elementary models for bivariant $K$-theory. They share lots of common properties with Voevodsky's framed correspondences and lead to symmetric matrix motives of algebraic varieties introduced in this paper. Symmetric matrix motives recover $K$-motives and fit in a closed symmetric monoidal triangulated

Weighted matrix means and symmetrization procedures
Here we prove the convergence of the Ando-Li-Mathias and Bini-Meini-Poloni procedures for matrix means. Actually it is proved here that for a two-variable function which maps pairs of positive definite matrices to a positive definite matrix and is not greater than the square mean of two positive definite matrices, the Ando-Li-Mathias and Bini-Meini ...

EuSc₂Te₄, an antiferromagnetic semiconductor, exhibits a nonlinear Hall effect (NLHE) characterized by quadratic current–voltage behavior. Combined experimental and theoretical studies reveal that this NLHE is linked to its antiferromagnetism and involves contributions from the quantum metric.

A strongly correlated electron system (SCES) exhibits pronounced insulating behavior due to Coulombic repulsion between cations, which generates a charge gap. This study investigates the tuning of the band structure in NiWO4‐based SCES via Cu doping at substitutional sites and Li doping at interstitial sites.

The PDEM‐based SIGPE provides a dynamic nanophase from Li+‐bridged molecular self‐association, enhancing electrochemical stability and facilitating uniform Li+ ion flux at the interface. This unique solvation structure results in a hetero species‐driven inorganic‐rich SEI and long‐term cycle stability, suggesting that a PFAS‐free Li+‐containing monomer

It is current aerospace standard to design composite laminates using a zero [B]-matrix in order to avoid warpage during manufacturing. A zero [B]-matrix is typical for symmetric laminates, thus making symmetric stacking sequences the preferred choice in ...

Compositing Effect Leads to Extraordinary Performance in GeSe‐Based Thermoelectrics
Rhombohedral GeSe is rationally designed with (GeSe)0.9(AgBiTe2)0.1‐1.5 mol.% SnSe, achieving a peak ZT of 1.31 at 623 K. Forming a composite with SnSe establishes interfaces with strong phonon scattering and weak electron scattering. Multiscale defects lead to an ultra‐low lattice thermal conductivity (0.26 W m−1 K−1), approaching the amorphous limit.
