Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

The Tropical Matrix Groups with Symmetric Idempotents

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2018
In this paper we study the semigroup Mn(T) of all n×n tropical matrices under multiplication. We give a description of the tropical matrix groups containing a diagonal block idempotent matrix in which the main diagonal blocks are real matrices and other ...

Generalized Symmetric Fermatean Neutrosophic Fuzzy Matrices [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems
This study explores a new type of matrix called a range-symmetric Fermatean neutrosophic fuzzy matrix (FNFM), inspired by the concept of range-Hermitian matrices.

On symmetrizing a matrix

open access: yes, 1988
The paper presents an algorithm to compute a matrix symmetrizer. A symmetrizer of an arbitrary square matrix A is a symmetric matrix X satisfying the matrix equation \(XA=A^ tX\), where t indicates the transpose. It is shown that a symmetrizer reduces a nonsymmetric real eigenvalue problem into a symmetric one, which is relatively easier to solve ...

Engineering Porous Hollow Metal‐Poly(Heptazine Imide) Spheres: An Optimized Synthetic Strategy for Controlling Surface, Morphology, and Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hollow poly(heptazine imide) spheres are prepared through a novel approach that integrates hard templating with ionothermal synthesis. This method enables precise control over surface area, pore volume, hydrophilicity, light absorption, band position, and metal composition. These tunable properties facilitate the customized design of semiconductors for

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Low‐Symmetry Weyl Semimetals: A Path to Ideal Topological States

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a theoretical framework for realizing ideal Weyl semimetals, where Weyl nodes are well‐isolated at the Fermi level. The approach is exemplified in the low‐symmetry material Cu2SnSe3, which exhibits tunable topological phases, current‐induced orbital magnetization, and a strong circular photogalvanic effect, making it a promising ...

On Sign Patterns of 4 × 4 Algebraically Positive Matrices

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
A square matrix A with real entries is said to be algebraically positive (AP) if there exists a real polynomial f such that fA is a positive matrix. A square sign pattern matrix A is said to allow algebraic positivity if there is an AP matrix A whose ...
