OPEN STRING ON SYMMETRIC PRODUCT [PDF]
We discuss some basic properties of the open string on the symmetric product which is supposed to describe the open string field theory in discrete light-cone quantization (DLCQ). We first derive the consistent twisted boundary conditions for Annulus/Möbius/Klein Bottle diagrams and give the explicit form of the corresponding amplitude.

Connected non-complete signed graphs which have symmetric spectrum but are not sign-symmetric
A signed graph Ġis called sign-symmetric if it is switching isomorphic to its negation −Ġ, where −Ġis obtained by reversing the sign of every edge of Ġ. The authors of Belardo et al.

Discrepancy of Symmetric Products of Hypergraphs [PDF]
For a hypergraph ${\cal H} = (V,{\cal E})$, its $d$–fold symmetric product is defined to be $\Delta^d {\cal H} = (V^d,\{E^d |E \in {\cal E}\})$. We give several upper and lower bounds for the $c$-color discrepancy of such products. In particular, we show that the bound ${\rm disc}(\Delta^d {\cal H},2) \le {\rm disc}({\cal H},2)$ proven for all $d$ in ...

Divisor Varieties of Symmetric Products [PDF]
Abstract The geometry of divisors on algebraic curves has been studied extensively over the years. The foundational results of this Brill-Noether theory imply that on a general curve, the spaces parametrizing linear series (of fixed degree and dimension) are smooth, irreducible projective varieties of known dimension.

The symplectic geometry of higher Auslander algebras: Symmetric products of disks
We show that the perfect derived categories of Iyama’s d-dimensional Auslander algebras of type ${\mathbb {A}}$ are equivalent to the partially wrapped Fukaya categories of the d-fold symmetric product of the $2$-dimensional unit disk with finitely many ...

Symplecticity and relationships among the fundamental properties in linear optics
Because of symplecticity the four fundamental first-order optical properties of an optical system are not independent. Relationships among them reduce the number of degrees of freedom of a system’s transference from 16 to 10.

Correlators of the symmetric product orbifold
We exploit null vectors of the fractional Virasoro algebra of the symmetric product orbifold to compute correlation functions of twist fields in the large N limit.

In this paper, we present a method to solve the quantum marginal problem for symmetric d -level systems. The method is built upon an efficient semi-definite program that uses the compatibility conditions of an m -body reduced density with a global n ...

Bielliptic Curves and Symmetric Products [PDF]
We show that the twofold symmetric product of a nonhyperelliptic, nonbielliptic curve does not contain any elliptic curves. Applying a theorem of Faltings, we conclude that such a curve defined over a number field K
