Lightweight Involutive Components for Symmetric Cryptography

2019 16th International ISC (Iranian Society of Cryptology) Conference on Information Security and Cryptology (ISCISC), 2019
Lightweight components are used in the design of modern lightweight ciphers. In the current paper, firstly we investigate a new family of lightweight $4\times 4$ almost MDS diffusion layers, mathematically, and determine when they are involutive. The proposed diffusion layers are suitable for software applications and have less fixed points, compared

Transient Analysis of Symmetrical Networks by the Method of Symmetrical Components

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1940
The canonical equations of a general, linear, bilateral symmetrical network of n meshes on which are impressed arbitrary mesh voltages are subjected to a Laplacian transformation. The transformed equations are then subjected to a symmetrical component transformation.

Processing of Symmetrical Components in Time-Domain

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2007
A novel system for decomposing a set of three-phase signals into its constituting symmetrical components is proposed. The system also estimates the frequency, the magnitudes and phase-angles of the sequence components. The system is useful for online estimation of instantaneous symmetrical components and their attributes in the presence of frequency ...

Topological considerations on the symmetrical components transformation

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, 2000
This paper presents the well-known symmetrical components transformation (SCT) by means of a different approach from the traditional matrix analysis: a topological lecture provides, in fact, the results obtained by the existing analysis in a more suitable form for network applications.

Symmetrical power factors and symmetrical reactive current components

2006 IEEE Power Engineering Society General Meeting, 2006
This paper deals with the definition of power factor and reactive current component in a three-phase system. For a single-phase system, power factor and reactive current component are defined based on the phase-angle displacement between the measured voltage and current waveforms. This definition can be directly extended to balanced three-phase systems.

Polyphase symmetrical components revisited

2020 3rd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering (ELECOM), 2020
In this paper, we revisit the notion of symmetrical components in electrical power systems that was introduced by Charles Legeyt Fortescue’s in his seminal paper "Method of Symmetrical Coordinates Applied to the Solution of Polyphase Networks, AIEE Transactions, vol. 37, part II, pp. 1027-1140,1918".

A symmetrical component synthesizer and analyzer

Electrical Engineering, 1954
The basic formulas of the method of symmetrical components may be verified and the elliptical pattern produced by unbalanced currents can be analyzed to determine directly from the dimensions of the ellipse the magnitudes of the positive and negative sequence components by means of the polyphase oscilloscope developed at the State University of Iowa.

Metering of symmetrical components

Electrical Engineering, 1932
CONTENTS of previous publications on metering of symmetrical components have been confined to the components of current and voltage in 3-phase 3-wire systems. This paper discusses the method of metering the positive and negative sequence power and energy in 3-phase 3-wire systems, and positive, negative, and zero sequence power and energy in 3-phase 4 ...
