In this paper, we study a (2+1) dimensional KdV-mKdV equation, which models many physical phenomena of mathematical physics. This equation has two integral terms in it.

Restricted Weyl symmetry and spontaneous symmetry breakdown of conformal symmetry [PDF]
In this paper, we elucidate the relation between the restricted Weyl symmetry and spontaneous symmetry breakdown of conformal symmetry. Using a scalar–tensor gravity, we show that the restricted Weyl symmetry leads to spontaneous symmetry breakdown of a global scale symmetry when the vacuum expectation value of a scalar field takes a nonzero value. It

Second-order topological insulators and superconductors with an order-two crystalline symmetry [PDF]
Second-order topological insulators and superconductors have a gapped excitation spectrum in bulk and along boundaries, but protected zero modes at corners of a two-dimensional crystal or protected gapless modes at hinges of a three-dimensional crystal ...

Categorical symmetry and noninvertible anomaly in symmetry-breaking and topological phase transitions [PDF]
For a zero-temperature Landau symmetry breaking transition in $n$-dimensional space that completely breaks a finite symmetry $G$, the critical point at the transition has the symmetry $G$.

Abstract Purpose Volumetric‐modulated arc therapy (VMAT) treatment planning allows a compromise between a sufficient coverage of the planning target volume (PTV) and a simultaneous sparing of organs‐at‐risk (OARs). Particularly in the case of lung tumors, deciding whether it is possible or worth spending more time on further improvements of a treatment

Evaluation of internal target volume of abdominal tumors using cine‐MRI
Abstract Introduction The detailed anatomy visualization with magnetic resonance (MR)‐guided radiotherapy is particularly attractive for abdominal treatments, but patient respiratory motion can compromise image quality. The “navigator technique” produces high‐quality 3D images, triggered by diaphragm displacement, in exhale phase only.

In this article, a generalized Hirota–Satsuma coupled Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) system is investigated from the group standpoint. This system represents an interplay of long waves with distinct dispersion correlations.

Modular symmetry and non-Abelian discrete flavor symmetries in string compactification [PDF]
We study the modular symmetry in magnetized D-brane models on $T^2$. Non-Abelian flavor symmetry $D_4$ in the model with magnetic flux $M=2$ (in a certain unit) is a subgroup of the modular symmetry.

Classical mathematics are founded within set theory, but sets don't have \emph{symmetries}. We conjecture that if we allow sets with symmetries, then many problems such as \emph{Mirror symmetry} or \emph{Homological mirror symmetry} can be explained.

Spontaneous symmetry breakdown of scale symmetries [PDF]
We discuss spontaneous symmetry breakdown (SSB) of both global and local scale symmetries in scalar-tensor gravity with two scalar fields, one of which couples nonminimally to scalar curvature while the other is a normal scalar field. In case of a global scale symmetry, by moving from the Jordan frame to the Einstein frame, a normal scalar field ...
