Complete classification of 1D gapped quantum phases in interacting spin systems

open access: yes, 2011
Quantum phases with different orders exist with or without breaking the symmetry of the system. Recently, a classification of gapped quantum phases which do not break time reversal, parity or on-site unitary symmetry has been given for 1D spin systems in

Random Learning Leads to Faster Convergence in ‘Model‐Free’ ILC: With Application to MIMO Feedforward in Industrial Printing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
The cost as a function of the number of experiments for a non‐symmetric 21×21$$ 21\times 21 $$ system. Four approaches are shown: the proposed stochastic conjugate gradient ILC (SCGILC) method (), deterministic conjugate gradient ILC (), stochastic gradient descent ILC () and deterministic gradient descent ILC ().

A short remark on the integrability of a nonlinear reaction–diffusion equation arising in mathematical biology: Compatibility analysis

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2016
An analytical approach based on the compatibility concept is employed to solve a nonlinear reaction–diffusion model arising in mathematical biology. The solution process makes it extremely easy to obtain a relatively accurate closed-form solution of the ...

Symmetric Gapped Interfaces of SPT and SET States: Systematic Constructions

open access: yes, 2018
Symmetry protected topological (SPT) states have boundary 't Hooft anomalies that obstruct an effective boundary theory realized in its own dimension with UV completion and an on-site $G$-symmetry.

Cnoidal and snoidal waves and conservation laws for physical space-time (3 + 1)-dimensional modified KdV models

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
The aim of this paper is to study three space-time (3 + 1)-dimensional modified Korteweg-de Vries equations. Nonlinear space-time (3 + 1)-dimensional partial differential equations model many realistic problems in the fields of engineering, wave ...

Plane Wave Reflection in a Compressible Half Space with Initial Stress

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2019
In this paper, the problem of wave propagation in a compressible half-space with an initial stress is considered. General discussion on the speed of wave in the presence of an initial stress is presented.

Thermosoluted Marangoni convective flow towards a permeable Riga surface

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2020
This study reveals the characteristics of chemical reaction on Marangoni mixed convective stream towards a penetrable Riga surface. The heat and mass phenomena are analysed within the sight of Dufour and Soret impacts.

SU(2) symmetry in a Hubbard model with spin-orbit coupling

open access: yes, 2010
We study the underlying symmetry in a spin-orbit coupled tight-binding model with Hubbard interaction. It is shown that, in the absence of the on-site interaction, the system possesses the SU(2) symmetry arising from the timereversal symmetry.

Symmetry and chaos

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 1989
AbstractThe dynamical model of a particle moving in the magnetic field and wave packet field is discussed. Particle trajectories produce tilings with the same quasisymmetry on the phase plane as is, for example, in quasicrystals. This makes it possible to find the dynamical generator of quasisymmetry and to consider the quasisymmetry onset as the ...
