Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

A well-known result by Palamidessi tells us that πmix(the π-calculus with mixed choice) is more expressive than πsep(its subset with only separate choice). The proof of this result analyses their different expressive power concerning leader election in symmetric networks.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

In this paper, we study a (2+1) dimensional KdV-mKdV equation, which models many physical phenomena of mathematical physics. This equation has two integral terms in it.

Symmetry and Surface Symmetry Energies in Finite Nuclei
A study of properties of the symmetry energy of nuclei is presented based on density functional theory. Calculations for finite nuclei are given so that the study includes isospin dependent surface symmetry considerations as well as isospin independent ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Conservation Laws for a Variable Coefficient Variant Boussinesq System
We construct the conservation laws for a variable coefficient variant Boussinesq system, which is a third-order system of two partial differential equations. This system does not have a Lagrangian and so we transform it to a system of fourth-order, which

Algebraic higher symmetry and categorical symmetry: A holographic and entanglement view of symmetry [PDF]
We introduce the notion of algebraic higher symmetry, which generalizes higher symmetry and is beyond higher group. We show that an algebraic higher symmetry in a bosonic system in $n$-dimensional space is characterized and classified by a local fusion ...
