Geometry of Invariant Tori of Certain Integrable Systems with Symmetry and an Application to a Nonholonomic System [PDF]
Bifibrations, in symplectic geometry called also dual pairs, play a relevant role in the theory of superintegrable Hamiltonian systems. We prove the existence of an analogous bifibrated geometry in dynamical systems with a symmetry group such that the ...

Novel Symmetries in Christ-Lee Model [PDF]
We demonstrate that the gauge-fixed Lagrangian of the Christ-Lee model respects four fermionic symmetries, namely; (anti-)BRST symmetries, (anti-)co-BRST symmetries within the framework of BRST formalism. The appropriate anticommutators amongst the fermionic symmetries lead to a unique bosonic symmetry.

Abstract Purpose Volumetric‐modulated arc therapy (VMAT) treatment planning allows a compromise between a sufficient coverage of the planning target volume (PTV) and a simultaneous sparing of organs‐at‐risk (OARs). Particularly in the case of lung tumors, deciding whether it is possible or worth spending more time on further improvements of a treatment

Loops in SU(2), Riemann Surfaces, and Factorization, I [PDF]
. In previous work we showed that a loop g : S 1 → SU(2) has a triangular factorization if and only if the loop g has a root subgroup factorization. In this paper we present generalizations in which the unit disk and its double, the sphere, are replaced ...

Toeplitz Operators, K\"ahler Manifolds, and Line Bundles [PDF]
This is a survey paper. We discuss Toeplitz operators in K\"ahler geometry, with applications to geometric quantization, and review some recent developments.Comment: This is a contribution to the Proceedings of the 2007 Midwest Geometry Conference in ...

Mechanisms of De‐icing by Surface Rayleigh and Plate Lamb Acoustic Waves
Ice accretion impacts daily life, renewable energy generation, maintenance, and security in industries and aeronautics. Acoustic waves (AW) are a promising method for ice removal, although de‐icing mechanisms require further investigation to optimize energy efficiency.

Tetrad gravity, electroweak geometry and conformal symmetry
A partly original description of gauge fields and electroweak geometry is proposed. A discussion of the breaking of conformal symmetry and the nature of the dilaton in the proposed setting indicates that such questions cannot be definitely answered in ...

Enumerative aspects of the Gross-Siebert program [PDF]
We present enumerative aspects of the Gross-Siebert program in this introductory survey. After sketching the program's main themes and goals, we review the basic definitions and results of logarithmic and tropical geometry.

Metric-Affine Geometries with Spherical Symmetry [PDF]
We provide a comprehensive overview of metric-affine geometries with spherical symmetry, which may be used in order to solve the field equations for generic gravity theories which employ these geometries as their field variables. We discuss the most general class of such geometries, which we display both in the metric-Palatini formulation and in the ...
