Examples of symplectic non-leaves

open access: yes, 2021
v2: Acknowledgements updated. v1: 17 pagesThis paper deals with the following question: which manifolds can be realized as leaves of codimension-1 symplectic foliations on closed manifolds?

Quantization of Polaritons Confined in Dielectric Structures

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This study addresses the limitations of the Hopfield model of strong light‐matter coupling in the case of structured dieletrics. A method to derive quantum models in the polariton basis using Bogoliubov transformation and third quantization is introduced, demonstrating how to boost interaction strength and engineer nonlocal interactions for strongly ...

PATH INTEGRAL QUANTIZATION OF THE SYMPLECTIC LEAVES OF THE SU(2)* POISSON–LIE GROUP [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 1999
The Feynman path integral is used to quantize the symplectic leaves of the Poisson–Lie group SU(2)*. In this way we obtain the unitary representations of [Formula: see text]. This is achieved by finding explicit Darboux coordinates and then using a phase space path integral.

Peskine Sixfolds and Debarre–Voisin Fourfolds With Associated Cubic Fourfolds

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We develop the notion of Peskine sixfolds with associated K3 surfaces and cubic fourfolds and work out numerical conditions for when these associations occur. In discriminant 24, the first family for which there is an associated cubic fourfold, we identify the cubic explicitly.

Purely Coclosed G2‐Structures on Nilmanifolds—II

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper completes the classification of seven‐dimensional nilpotent Lie groups endowed with a left‐invariant purely coclosed G2$\text{G}_2$‐structure, initiated in Bazzoni et al. [Mathematische Nachrichten 296 no. 6 (2023): 2236–2257], the authors provided the classification of decomposable seven‐dimensional nilpotent Lie groups and of the ...

A Non‐Parametric Framework for Correlation Functions on Product Metric Spaces

open access: yesInternational Statistical Review, EarlyView.
Summary We propose a non‐parametric framework for analysing data defined over products of metric spaces, a versatile class encountered in various fields. This framework accommodates non‐stationarity and seasonality and is applicable to both local and global domains, such as the Earth's surface, as well as domains evolving over linear time or time ...

A Simulation Study on Spatial Exponential Decay of Perturbations in a Two‐Dimensional Wave Equation With Optimal Boundary/Line Control

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 4, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Recent results have shown that domain‐uniform stabilizability and detectability imply spatial exponential decay of perturbations in optimally controlled hyperbolic PDEs on one‐dimensional domains. This domain‐uniform stabilizability and detectability can be achieved only if the control domain is distributed over the whole spatial domain such ...
