On synchronous supereruptions [PDF]
Two recent supereruptions (magnitude (M) scale ≥ 8), the Young Toba Tuff (YTT), Sumatra, and the Los Chocoyos (LCY), Guatemala, are found to be statistically synchronous at ca. 74 ka and near antipodal. Such planetwide synchroneity of supereruptions is shown to be statistically non-random implying a causal link.

Synchronization of Grammars [PDF]
Deterministic graph grammars are finite devices which generate the transition graphs of pushdown automata. We define the notion of synchronization by grammars, generalizing previous sub-classes such as visibly and height-deterministic pushdown automata.

Synchronization and simplification
AbstractWe describe the notions of synchronization and simplification with respect to a given subsemigroup P of a semigroup S in terms of the syntactic semigroup of P. These notions derive from coding theory, which corresponds to the case where P is a free subsemigroup of a free semigroup; we apply the results to give a unified account of several ...

Kick synchronization versus diffusive synchronization [PDF]
The paper provides an introductory discussion about two fundamental models of oscillator synchronization: the (continuous-time) diffusive model, that dominates the mathematical literature on synchronization, and the (hybrid) kick model, that accounts for most popular examples of synchronization, but for which only few theoretical results exist.

Market Synchronicity Among African Markets: is IFRS Adoption an Augmentor or Inhibitor?
This paper investigates the dynamics of market synchronicity and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) adoption in Africa. It seeks to determine whether or not IFRS is an augmentor or inhibitor of market synchronicity in Africa.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
