Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Blind block synchronization algorithms in cyclic prefix systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, symbol synchronization is a critical step for successful data transmission. While this task is done in most current systems by using training symbols, a few studies have been dedicated to ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

General decay synchronization of delayed BAM neural networks with reaction–diffusion terms

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
In this paper, general decay synchronization of delayed bidirectional associative memory neural networks with reaction–diffusion terms is studied. First, a useful lemma is introduced to determine the general decay synchronization of considered systems ...

Fast and Robust Time Synchronization with Median Kalman Filtering for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Time synchronization is an important issue in ad-hoc networks for reliable information exchange. The algorithms for time synchronization in ad-hoc networks are largely categorized into two types.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

A Cluster-Based Secure Synchronization Protocol for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2014
Secure time synchronization is one of the key concerns for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs). This paper presents a CLUster-based Secure Synchronization (CLUSS) protocol that ensures the security of synchronization under harsh underwater ...
