A CONCISE OVERVIEW OF GENERATORS FOR WIND ENERGY SYSTEM [PDF]
Wind power generator have been operational since 1888. Over this period, various types of wind turbine generator have been developed from the existing types of electric machines.

Large synchronous generators are the heart of the modern world, while producing the vast majority of the electric power consumed globally. Although they are robust devices, they are prone to degradation and failure.

Generalized Synchronization Trees [PDF]
This paper develops a generalized theory of synchronization trees. In their original formulation, synchronization trees modeled the behavior of nondeterministic discrete-time reactive systems and served as the foundational theory upon which process algebra was based.

Dynamic Patterns in the Small-Signal Behavior of Power Systems with Wind Power Generation
This paper investigates the dynamic patterns in the small-signal behavior of power systems with wind power generation. The interactions between synchronous generators and wind generators are investigated.

Fractional-Order Virtual Synchronous Generator
In this letter, a novel control scheme is proposed by combining the fractional-order control and the virtual synchronous generator, whereby more degrees of freedom are involved in the controller design. A well-damped power control without oscillations is achieved. At the same time, a significant improvement in the inertial effect is attained.

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

Impact of active power recovery rate of DFIG wind farms on first swing rotor angle stability
The first swing rotor angle stability is still an important stability challenge for modern power systems integrated with a large number of renewable energy‐based sources, such as wind farms and solar‐photovoltaic farms.

IMPROVING THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF SHIP ELECTRIC INSTALLATIONS BY USING ASYNCHRONOUS GENERATORS
The article considers one of the ways to increase the energy efficiency of marine autonomous power plants by using asynchronous generators with capacitor excitation instead of traditional generator sets with synchronous generators. A comparative analysis

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...
