Dynein‐Dependent Endo‐Lysosomal Degradation Drives Lewy Body Disorders Accompanied by Aβ Pathology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the impact of Aβ plaques on α‐synuclein (αSyn) pathologies in dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). Co‐culturing primary neurons with AD mouse brain slices reveals impaired dynein‐dependent organelle trafficking, affecting αSyn degradation. Activating Rab7 restores this process, reducing αSyn inclusions.

NIR Driven Pd/Cerium Oxide Nano‐Heterojunction for Enhanced Salvaging Sepsis Induced Acute Liver Injury via Reprogramming Redox Homeostasis in Synergy with Inducing Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In vivo SALI therapy is achieved by scavenging intracellular ROS levels, downregulating inflammatory factors expression levels, inducing macrophage M2 directional polarization, and activating Keap1/Nrf‐2/HO‐1 pathway to reprogram redox homeostasis, induce cellular autophagy, reduce systemic inflammation, and promote liver tissue repair. Abstract Sepsis

Highly Stretchable, Self‐Healable, and Conductive Gelatin Methacryloyl Hydrogel for Long‐Lasting Wearable Tactile Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gelatin methacryloyl hydrogel, which possesses high stretchability, tensile strength, toughness, and autonomous self‐healing capability at room temperature, is developed through the introduction of interpenetrating networks, hierarchical hydrogen bonds (weak and strong H‐bonds), and borate ester bonds.

Naxos Disease [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Since 1995, according to the World Health Organisation’s classification of cardiomyopathies, Naxos disease has been considered as the recessive form of arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy (ARVD/C).1 It is a stereotype association of

Characterization of B Cell Responses in Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus Mykiss) Affected by Red Mark Syndrome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study extensively characterizes the B cell response of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in response to red mark syndrome (RMS). This disease, suspected to be caused by a Midichloria‐like organism (MLO), induces skin lesions in the infected animals, characterized by a massive influx of IgM+ B cells.

Convulsive syncope as presenting symptom of carotid body tumors: Case series

open access: yesJournal of Research in Medical Sciences, 2013
Carotid body tumor (CBT) is paraganglioma and mainly found in the carotid bifurcation. The manifestations of the tumor are variable; in most cases, it presents as a non-symptomatic slow-growing mass, rarely compression of carotid body induces bradycardia
