Nematodirus archari (Nematoda: Trichostrongyloidea) from ruminants in North America with a description of the synlophe and the female

Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1989
The synlophe of specimens of Nematodirus archari from North America is described and used to identify females of this species for which the first description is provided. Differentiation of N. archari from congeners in North America is based on an array of characters, including the pattern of the synlophe and the form and structure of the spicule tip ...

A New Heligmonellid (Nematoda: Heligmonellidae) from Oecomys mamorae (Rodentia: Sigmodontinae) In the Pantanal and New Data on the Synlophe of Guerrerostrongylus zetta from the Atlantic Forest, Brazil

Journal of Parasitology, 2012
A new species of Heligmonellidae nematode, Guerrerostrongylus gomesae n. sp., is described from specimens collected from the small intestine of the rodent Oecomys mamorae Thomas, 1906 in the Brazilian Pantanal. It differs from the 2 other species of the genus by the number of ridges in the synlophe 35-46 and 40-48 at the midbody in the male and female,

Journal of Parasitology, 2014
Additional data on the synlophe and morphological measurements are provided for the heligmonellids Stilestrongylus aculeata (Travassos, 1918) and Stilestrongylus eta (Travassos, 1937), collected from Akodon montensis Thomas, 1913, of the Atlantic Forest, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The synlophe of S.

Evaluation of the synlophe of Nematodirus urichi and N. lamae (Trichostrongyloidea) from Mazama americana and camelids (Artiodactyla) in the Neotropics

Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1990
The synlophes of male and female specimens of Nematodirus urichi and male specimens of Nematodirus lamae are characterized. In the cervical region, at the level of the cervical papillae there were 34 and 42 ridges of variable height in male and female N. urichi, respectively.

Synlophe of Nematodirus odocoilei (Trichostrongyloidea) from deer and caribou in North America with comments on the evolution of Nematodirus spp. among the Cervidae (Artiodactyla)

Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1989
The synlophe for specimens of Nematodirus odocoilei from deer (Odocoileus hemionus) and woodland caribou (Rangifer tarandus caribou) is characterized. In the cervical region, at the level of the cervical papillae, there are 36–42 and 38–47 ridges of variable height in males and females, respectively. Sixteen ridges extend to the cephalic expansion.
