Ethical Precision in Nanoscale Brain Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As brain interfaces approach the nanoscale, precision no longer only measures—it knows, predicts, and potentially reshapes the mind. This work argues that traditional ethics fails under such conditions and proposes a shift toward continuous, operation‐based governance using the recovery–discovery framework to track, constrain, and responsibly steer ...

Functional Disorder at the Neural Interface: How Disordered Nanostructures Promote Proper Growth and Differentiation in In Vitro Neural Cultures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work provides a practical guide for neuroengineers to design advanced neural interfaces, embracing and tailoring the concept of functional disorder. By bridging 2D and 3D in vitro models, this work highlights how non‐periodic, spatially heterogeneous, multiscale nanotopography can enable more physiologically relevant platforms for studying neural ...

A brief survey on syntactical synonymy

open access: yes, 2020
The issues of grammatical synonymy in general and syntactical synonymy specifically are timely in modern linguistics; they draw attention of many scientists. Grammatical studies of the past decade take a growing interest in the problem of synonymy.

SERRATE Regulates Floral Meristem Activity by Antagonizing SHOOT MERISTEMLESS and Repressing Cytokinin Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Floral meristem (FM) activity is crucial for the initiation of floral organs. In this study, SE represses IPT7 expression and cytokinin signaling via both the miR171c‐5p–KNAT2 and miR164c–CUC1/2–KNAT2 regulatory modules, thereby repressing FM activity. In contrast, STM induces both KNAT2 and IPT7 expression.

Transposase‐Assisted Donor Tethering Boosts Large‐Fragment HDR in Plants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A transposase‐assisted donor tethering strategy is developed to enhance homology‐directed repair in plants. By recruiting donor DNA to double‐strand breaks and synergizing with repair pathway reprogramming and transcription‐coupled donor design, this system markedly improves large‐fragment targeted insertion efficiency, providing a robust platform for ...

A bird's eye survey of central american planorbid molluscs

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 2003
In the course of two trips to Central America (June 1967 and JulyAugust 1976) I had the opportunity of collecting topotypic specimens of Planorbis nicaraguanus Morelet, 1849, anatomically defined in this paper, and of P.
