[Pigmented villonodular synovitis].
Presse medicale (Paris, France : 1983), 2005To evaluate clinical, radiological and histological characteristics as well as outcome of pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) in 14 patients.This retrospective study examined data from 14 cases of pathologically-confirmed PVNS over a 10-year period (1990-1999).All 14 cases (9 women and 5 men) of PVNS involved the knee.

[Pigmented villonodular synovitis].
Ugeskrift for laeger, 1989Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVS) is characterized by diffuse or localized proliferation of the synovial membrane in synovial joints, tendon sheaths or bursae. The etiology and pathogenesis are unknown. The condition is most frequently localized to the flexor tendon sheaths. Intraarticular PVS is most frequent in the knee joint.
