deepTFBS: Improving within‐ and Cross‐Species Prediction of Transcription Factor Binding Using Deep Multi‐Task and Transfer Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DeepTFBS leverages deep learning to predict transcription factor binding sites across species, integrating multi‐task and transfer learning approaches to improve performance in data‐scarce scenarios. This study demonstrates enhanced accuracy in intra‐ and cross‐species prediction, revealing conserved regulatory patterns and functional variants.

Self‐Rhythmic Soft Pneumatic Pressure Regulation System Based on Self‐Excited Oscillation of Jet Hose

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study presents a soft pneumatic pressure regulation system that uses self‐excited hose oscillations to convert constant pressure (90–150 kPa) into rhythmic output. Simulations and experiments demonstrate tunable oscillation frequencies (5.9–11.1 Hz) through adjustments in pressure, hose length, and jet hole diameter.

The utility of SYNTAX score predictability by electrocardiogram parameters in patients with unstable angina

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders, 2022
Background SYNTAX score is one of the risk assessment systems to predict cardiac events in acute coronary syndrome patients. Despite the large number of SYNTAX score benefits, invasive methods such as coronary angiography are necessary to perform the ...

Exploiting Rich Syntax for Better Knowledge Base Question Answering [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Recent studies on Knowledge Base Question Answering (KBQA) have shown great progress on this task via better question understanding. Previous works for encoding questions mainly focus on the word sequences, but seldom consider the information from syntactic trees. In this paper, we propose an approach to learn syntax-based representations for KBQA ...

Uniform Resource Identifier (URI): Generic Syntax

open access: yesRequest for Comments, 2005
A Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) is a compact sequence of characters that identifies an abstract or physical resource. This specification defines the generic URI syntax and a process for resolving URI references that might be in relative ...

Mapping Molecular Pathways of Multiple Sclerosis: A Gene Prioritization and Network Analysis of White Matter Pathology Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objectives Rapid advances in transcriptomics have driven efforts to identify deregulated pathways in multiple sclerosis (MS) tissues, though many detected differentially expressed genes are likely false positives, with only a small fraction reflecting actual pathological events. Robust, integrative methods are essential for accurately understanding the

Prediction of microvascular obstruction by coronary artery angiography score after acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction: a single-center retrospective observational study

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders, 2022
Background Some coronary artery angiography (CAG) scores are associated with the no-reflow phenomenon after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
