Biotechnological aspects of anaerobic oxidation of methane coupled to sulfate reduction [PDF]
Sulfate reduction (SR) can be used for the removal and recovery of metals and oxidized sulfur compounds from waste streams. Sulfate-reducing bacteria reduce oxidized sulfur compounds to sulfide.

Acidic CO2 electroreduction to formic acid is enabled by integrating mixed Sn/SnOx nanoclusters, K+‐regulated interfacial solvation, and Janus wettability. Coordinated control of active sites, interfacial water, and gas‐liquid transport suppresses hydrogen evolution and delivers approximately 85% HCOOH Faradaic efficiency at 400 mA cm−2.

Can synthetic biology shed light on the origin of life? [PDF]
It is a most commonly accepted hypothesis that life originated from inanimate matter, somehow being a synthetic product of organic aggregates, and as such, a result of some sort of prebiotic synthetic biology.

Commercial OPBI binders is regulated via a facile formic‐acid protonation strategy without disrupting the polymer backbone. Protonation introduces positively charged benzimidazole sites, inducing interchain electrostatic repulsion that loosens chain packing, enlarges intermolecular spacing, and promotes uniform binder dispersion over catalyst surfaces.

A palladium membrane reactor delivers active hydrogen to homogeneous nickel terpyridine catalysts, which then selectively hydrogenate dinitrogen to ammonia. ABSTRACT Ammonia production is a cornerstone of modern industry and society, yet the conventional Haber–Bosch process accounts for nearly 2% of the global CO2 emissions. A promising and potentially
