An Integrated System-on-Chip Test Framework [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings Design, Automation and Test in Europe. Conference and Exhibition 2001, 2002
In this paper we propose a framework for the testing of system-on-chip (SOC), which includes a set of design algorithms to deal with test scheduling, test access mechanism design, test sets selection, test parallelization, and test resource placement.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Design Technology for Systems-on-Chip [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
As ASIC designs make the transition to systems on a chip (SoC), designers wrestle with increased complexity, escalating development costs and accelerating design cycles. In addition, advancing technology is exacerbating formerly parasitic effects such as RC delay and capacitive coupling into first-order effects. Complex designs and advancing technology

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

RRAM Crossbar-Based In-Memory Computation of Anisotropic Filters for Image Preprocessingloa

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Anisotropic-diffusion is a commonly used signal preprocessing technique that allows extracting meaningful local characteristics from a signal, such as edges in an image and can be used to support higher-level processing tasks, such as shape detection ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

A Cyclic Vernier Two-Step TDC for High Input Range Time-of-Flight Sensor Using Startup Time Correction Technique

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Herein, we present a low-power cyclic Vernier two-step time-to-digital converter (TDC) that achieves a wide input range with good linearity. Since traditional approaches require a large area or high power to achieve an input range >300 ns, we solve ...

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Efficient memristor accelerator for transformer self-attention functionality

open access: yesScientific Reports
The adoption of transformer networks has experienced a notable surge in various AI applications. However, the increased computational complexity, stemming primarily from the self-attention mechanism, parallels the manner in which convolution operations ...
