On The Consistency of Prediction Error Identification Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
The problem of identification is to determine a model that describes input–output data obtained from a certain system. In this chapter, strong consistency for general prediction error methods, including the maximum-likelihood (ML) method is considered ...

Evidence in Support of the Independent Channel Model Describing the Sensorimotor Control of Human Stance Using a Humanoid Robot

open access: yesFrontiers in Computational Neuroscience, 2018
The Independent Channel (IC) model is a commonly used linear balance control model in the frequency domain to analyze human balance control using system identification and parameter estimation.

Effect of Electromagnetic Damping on System Performance of Voice-Coil Actuator Applied to Balancing-Type Scale

open access: yesActuators, 2020
Changing a time-varying magnetic field induces an electromotive force (EMF) in non-magnetic conductive materials, resulting in an eddy current across the conductor. Thus, electromagnetic damping can be used as viscous damping.

Association Between Dinutuximab Beta Exposure and Post‐End‐of‐Treatment Survival in Neuroblastoma: A Weighted Patient‐Level Analysis of Three Clinical Studies

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives The association between exposure to dinutuximab beta (DB) and event‐free survival (EFS) or overall survival (OS) of neuroblastoma patients was assessed using data collected during three clinical trials (five cohorts). Methods A systematic review (March 2026) was conducted to identify relevant studies (prospective; registered DB ...

Identification of continuous, spatiotemporal systems

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 1998
We present a method for the identification of continuous, spatiotemporal dynamics from experimental data. We use a model in the form of a partial differential equation and formulate an optimization problem for its estimation from data. The solution is found as a multivariate nonlinear regression problem using the ACE-algorithm.

A system identification approach to modeling of wave propagation in pavements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, modeling of the pavement as a wave propagation medium and estimation of the corresponding model parameters is approached from a system identification perspective.

Generalized Versoria Soft-Root-Sign-Based Adaptive Filter for System Identification Under Impulsive Noise

open access: yesIEEE Access
Robust adaptive filtering algorithms using correntropy, Versoria, logarithmic cost, generalized soft root sign (GSRS), and hyperbolic cosine functions (HCF) have been successfully employed for the system identification (SI) problem under non-Gaussian ...

Modal–Physical Hybrid System Identification of High-rise Building via Subspace and Inverse-Mode Methods

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment, 2017
A system identification (SI) problem of high-rise buildings is investigated under restricted data environments. The shear and bending stiffnesses of a shear-bending model (SB model) representing the high-rise buildings are identified via the smart ...
