Improving the Efficiency of PEM Electrolyzers through Membrane-Specific Pressure Optimization
Hydrogen produced in a polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) electrolyzer must be stored under high pressure. It is discussed whether the gas should be compressed in subsequent gas compressors or by the electrolyzer.

MYCN Amplification in RB1‐Inactivated Retinoblastoma: Association With High‐Risk Features
ABSTRACT Background MYCN amplification occurs in a subset of retinoblastoma cases, both with and without RB1 inactivation. It has been suggested that retinoblastomas with MYCN amplification represent a distinct entity with more aggressive clinical behavior.

Which is more appropriate: a multi-perspective comparison between systems dynamics and discrete event simulation [PDF]
System Dynamics (SD) and Discrete Event Simulation (DES) are two established simulation tech-niques for simulating the dynamics of a system. Both have been widely used in modelling business de-cisions.

Physical modelling of degassing process by blowing of inert gas [PDF]
This paper deals with the possibilities of using physical modelling to study the degassing of metal melt during its treatment in the refining ladle. The method of inert gas blowing, so-called refining gas, presents the most common operational technology ...

Pancreas, Muscle, and Subcutaneous Fat Atrophy in Patients Undergoing Radiation for Neuroblastoma
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Radiation therapy (RT) is part of standard‐of‐care therapy in high‐risk neuroblastoma (HR‐NBL) but can significantly affect nearby tissue. The objectives of this study were (1) to characterize changes in pancreas volume after RT and (2) to characterize changes in body composition, including body weight percentile ...

Applications of system dynamics modelling to computer music [PDF]
Based on a composer's psycho-acoustic imagination or response to music, system dynamics modelling and simulation tools can be used as a scoring device to map the structural dynamic shape of interest of computer music compositions.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

An active-architecture approach to COTS integration [PDF]
Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software products are increasingly used as standard components within integrated information systems. This creates challenges since both their developers and source code are not usually available, and the ongoing ...
