Objective To assess the value of serum type I interferon (IFN) score in predicting clinically meaningful progression in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) using a novel composite endpoint adopted from the MINIMISE clinical trial. Methods A retrospective, longitudinal lcSSc cohort was identified within a national, multicenter observational ...

COMO: A Pipeline for Multi-Omics Data Integration in Metabolic Modeling and Drug Discovery [PDF]
Identifying potential drug targets using metabolic modeling requires integrating multiple modeling methods and heterogenous biological datasets, which can be challenging without sophisticated tools. We developed COMO, a user-friendly pipeline that integrates multi-omics data processing, context-specific metabolic model development, simulations, drug ...

The Spitzer c2d Survey of Large, Nearby, Interstellar Clouds. XI. Lupus Observed With IRAC and MIPS [PDF]
We present c2d Spitzer/IRAC observations of the Lupus I, III and IV dark clouds and discuss them in combination with optical and near-infrared and c2d MIPS data. With the Spitzer data, the new sample contains 159 stars, 4 times larger than the previous one.

The Lupus Transit Survey For Hot Jupiters: Results and Lessons [PDF]
We present the results of a deep, wide-field transit survey targeting Hot Jupiter planets in the Lupus region of the Galactic plane conducted over 53 nights concentrated in two epochs separated by a year. Using the Australian National University 40-inch telescope at Siding Spring Observatory (SSO), the survey covered a 0.66 sq. deg. region close to the

Lupus-TR-3b: A Low-Mass Transiting Hot Jupiter in the Galactic Plane? [PDF]
We present a strong case for a transiting Hot Jupiter planet identified during a single-field transit survey towards the Lupus Galactic plane. The object, Lupus-TR-3b, transits a V=17.4 K1V host star every 3.91405d. Spectroscopy and stellar colors indicate a host star with effective temperature 5000 +/- 150K, with a stellar mass and radius of 0.87 ...

Background Podocytes are integral to the maintenance of the glomerular filtration barrier. Their injury results in proteinuria and disease progression in lupus nephritis (LN). Aberrant IgG glycosylation drives podocyte injury in LN and leads to cytoskeletal rearrangement, motility changes and decreased nephrin production.
