ACHIEVING MORE SCIENTIFIC SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PRACTICES: PRC'S EXPERIENCE IN APPLYING THE SE CMM
INCOSE International Symposium, 1997ABSTRACTA criticism that could be levied on the systems engineering profession is that while we have been working hard at it for a long time, the improvements in achieving a more scientific approach could be better than they have been. PRC is applying the Systems Engineering Capability Maturity Model (SE‐CMM) to facilitate a more scientific systems ...

2.3.1 A Practical Program of Research to Measure Systems Engineering Return on Investment (SE‐ROI)
INCOSE International Symposium, 2006AbstractPast analysis has shown that there is a quantifiable correlation between the amount, types and quality of systems engineering efforts used during a program and the success of the program. For any given program, an amount, type and quality of systems engineering effort can be selected from the quantified correlations. The optimal nature of these

Setup of an integrated Stirling Engine - Fluidized Bed (SE-FB) experimental system
2014This paper presents a new concept for the integration of a combustion chamber based on renewable fuels and a Stirling Engine (SE). Biomass is adopted as fuel to be burned in a fluidized bed (FB) combustor in the preferred form of wood pellets. This combustion technology has proven to be flexible, efficient and clean in a variety of configurations.
